Biography
LeRoy J. “Lee” Hood, 83, of Moline, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. Mary’s Church, Moline. Visitation will be 4 -7pm Monday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with a rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park, Moline. Memorials can be made to SPEC.
Lee was born April 26, 1929 in Frederick Township, Il. the son of Harold and Anna (Fey) Hood. He married Jean Rosenberger on June 12, 1948 in East Moline. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2005.
Lee worked as a route foreman for Baker’s Dairy, retiring in 1994. He was previously employed for 10 years at Service Ice.
Lee was a member of St Mary’s Church, Moline and the Penny Ante Card Club. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Janet (Joe) Duffy, Kearney, Nebraska, Jill Setser, Moline, Joy Bean, Minneapolis, MN and Julie (Evan) Fiffles, Homer Glen, IL; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a brother, Chuck Hood, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Duffy.
