Jeffrey P. Impens, 58, of Honolulu, HI, passed away Tuesday January 24, 2012 at his residence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Monday, January 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be 2 -5pm Sunday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.

Jeff was born October 30, 1953 in Moline, IL, the son of H. Richard and Alice Runyon Impens.

Jeff graduated from Sacred Heart School, Moline High School and University of Illinois, Champaign receiving Bachelor and Master’s Civil Engineering degrees.

Jeff was a professional engineer and worked at ClarkDietz; SEC Donahue; Rust International; URS; Earth Tech; and AECOM.

He lived in Champaign. IL; Greenville, SC; Wheaton, IL; Sydney and Adelaide, Australia; Las Vegas, NV; Raleigh, NC; and Honolulu, HI.

Survivors include his fiancée, Adelina Soares of Honolulu, HI; mother, Alice Impens of Moline; sisters, Michele (Ben) Stoneking of Moline and Gayle (Garry) Doyle of Coal Valley; brothers, Richard (Anna) Impens of East Moline, Ronald (Denise) Impens of Delmar, IA, Patrick (Carole) Impens of East Moline and Christopher Impens of Peoria, IL; 20 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. Jeff was previously married to Cindy Blomquist of Moline, IL. Jeff was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
