Mary Timm

Mary C. Timm, 96, formerly of Moline, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center, Rock Island.

Funeral service will be 10am Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Rafferty Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation will be 4 – 6pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials mat be made to First Christian Church.

Mary was born May 17, 1914 in Moline, the daughter of Alois and Louise Willems Roeland. She married Werner Timm in Moline in 1933. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1990.

Mary was employed at the former Gibberman Brothers, Moline Public Hospital and was a crossing guard at the former William Carr School, Moline.

Mrs. Timm was a member of First Christian Church, Moline. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Gideonsen, Clinton, IA; son, Donald Timm, Moline; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, brother and daughter-in-law. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anthony’s for the wonderful care given to Mary.
